Usapang FanFes 2022: Our Experience

As early as the announcement of the location of FanFes 2022, which was in Ayala Circuit Makati, one of our members described the area and where the event took place, as per the reason he used to frequent the establishment pre-pandemic, and how to get their via different modes of land transportation. Migui, our member who used to frequent Circuit Makati, showed the rest of the team an occular of the area one week before FanFes 2022 took place.

Fast forward to the day of the event, as the event was free admission and free to the public, the number of attendees, either cosplaying or not, it was to be expected that the mall would be jam-packed, especially the event area. Both Day 1 and Day 2, the Activity Center, where FanFes 2022 was being held, was filled with cosplayers and con-goers alike.

Day 1, August 27, there were no activities set on the date, as so the number of attendees was less than Day 2, however many still went and had fun on the stage, since it was free to use for picture taking and fun.

Day 2, August 28, now this is a day to remember, not only the famous Solo Cosplay Catwalk Contest took place, also, a Cosplay Parade was held to showcase the different cosplayers that were part of the parade.

On a side note, during the festivities, our host Migui, was hosting a Hide-and-Seek Game for those who wanted to enter.

Since Migui knows the area inside and out, he hosted it for those who wants to partake in the game and have fun along the way. He was found an hour later by 5 people in a group in search of Migui.

In summary, FanFes 2022 was a success despite the number of attendees, many had fun, many were tired from the commute. In other words, let's do it again.
