Usapang Cosplay Matsuri 2022: Our Experience

Cosplay Matsuri 2022 is a 3-day cosplay convention held last December 28-30, 2022 at SMX Convention Center in SM Mall Of Asia.

The Usapang Cosplay PH Team attended all 3 days of the event with such enthusiasm and excitement they couldn’t contain themselves to meet friends - old and new, have photoshoots, take pictures with different cosplayers, buy merchandises and cosplay prints, and more! Even the hosts didn’t pass up the chance to buy merchandises from the different stores in the event.

The event itself was jam packed that the onsite ticket selling was sold out for 3 days just a few hours after opening its doors to the public.

With contests like Anisong, Douken Solo Cosplay Contest, and Doujin Group Cosplay Contest. The audiences in the stage area are filled with joy with the amazing performances of the cosplayers and contestants.

The hosts were able to get interviews with Gelo Grayson, Cholo Tolentino, Vera Mare Cosplay, and 10 Cosplay from New Game Plus, but wait, there’s more…

Day 2 of Cosplay Matsuri, the one and only Prince De Guzman and Awie De Guzman made an appearance at the event. As Arattaki Itto from Genshin Impact (Prince) and Raiden Mei from Honkai Impact (Awie). Out host was able to get an interview with the both of them and get a few pictures. Getting to meet and interview Prince and Awie De Guzman was both an honor and a privilege. As the year 2022 has ended and new fresh start to the Cosplay Conventions are afoot, we at Usapang Cosplay PH hope to see you all again this 2023!
